Brocks Hill’s Got Talent 2025
Brocks Hill Primary School was buzzing with excitement this term, as pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 showcased their incredible talents in our annual show – Brocks Hill’s Got Talent! After each class held respective heats and selected their chosen finalists, a spectacular finale took place on Friday 21st March.
The event, hosted by Mrs Street and the School Parliament, featured a dazzling array of performances. We had a boxer demonstrating his skills, singers and dancers lighting up the stage, a magician, gymnasts, a sketch about the bones in the body and several talented pianists. The variety on show was breathtaking and ensured there was something that appealed to everybody!
Given the unenviable task of judging the event was our Head of School Mrs Shilling and Mr Matheson, our Chair of Governors. They each had their own ‘Golden Buzzer’ act, with Mrs Shilling selected a superb gymnastics act and Mr Matheson choosing a dancer, whose infectious energy had the audience clapping along to the routine.
Eventually, though, after all 12 spell-binding acts had performed, the judges deliberated and named Year 6 pupil Emily the winner. She wowed everybody with her unbelievable magic trick. Mrs Street randomly chose a card from her deck, and Emily popped 12 balloons to reveal letters that formed an anagram of the chosen card!
Adding further call for celebration, the event also formed part of our efforts to support Red Nose Day and, together, we raised a staggering £500 for Comic Relief!
